This week we moved from Thursday night to Saturday morning in an attempt to beat the heat. Despite the 7.00am start, it was still muggy and hot. About half the group made it (Garfields v non-Garfields). Tom won the wet t-shirt competition and everyone was in awe of Doug Barnes calves (that is a really odd thing to type...).
That said, congratulations to those who made it out of bed - everyone ran well in what were grueling conditions.
Afterwards we stretched and then some of us undid the good work by going to Paul's for breakfast.

Week 5, July 1
Non-group workouts
Homework:
- Makes program successful
- Buddy up if you can
- Follow rules for running/walking alone
- Cross training and other exercises
- Don’t add on the miles you missed, stick to the planned run or walk
- Run/walk in well-lit areas if you are out by yourself, especially women
- Be careful at intersections and parking lot entrances
- Be courteous and move over for other runners/walkers/bikers
- From the neck up, you can run/walk
- From the neck down, you can’t run/walk
- This includes everything from the neck down, stomach ache, flu, fever, muscle aches
- Missing 1 or 2 workouts will not be a set back
- Call your Group Leader if you will miss a workout
